Here is one of my most useful links. We all get emails about fortunes to be made by setting up an account for the deposed prince of Nigeria or something, and we know they are bunk. (Well, hopefully we know that) but what about the one about the little boy dying of cancer and all he wants to do is collect business cards? Next time you get an email about that, or Microsoft donating money to a charity each time an email is forwarded, check it out at www.snopes.com and find out the real scoop!
Lots of fun and funny stuff at www.jibjab.com, including the original 'This Land is Your Land' featuring caricatures of George Bush and John Kerry.
At www.tvguide.com you can get a personalized tv schedule, instead of running and looking for the TV listings in the paper. Once you register for free and get to the page with the listings that correspond to your cable or satellite or whatever, add it to your favorites and it will come right back to that page, at the current day and time. I put a shortcut to it on my Windows desktop (by dragging the little 'e' icon in the address bar onto the desktop)
If you like gadgets and gizmos, check out www.gizmodo.com, which is actually a commercial blog. It's generally updated several times each weekday, not so much on the weekends.
